The religious world preaches a message of "perseverance of the saints" in which a soul which is saved cannot sin so as to be eternally lost. The Bible simply does not teach that principle. In fact, the book of Hebrews teaches that we--Christians--must be continually striving to grow and endure and watch out for our souls. We all have need of endurance, since there is a definite possibility of a Christian falling away.
